Shared Hosting Backups
We backup all servers daily and hold at least a (7) day retention of all your files. For certain servers, our retention may be as long as (30) days.

HyperV Backups
We take snapshot images of all HyperV servers and store it on our multi-terrabyte repository. Our repository is then mirrored to another server to maximize data recovery and reliability. Alternately, you can also receive a regular backup which includes daily email notifications of the success of the backup. (see dedicated server backups below)

Dedicated Server Backups
All dedicated server customers receive at least 500GB of free backup space. If you need daily email alerts to ensure your backups are completed satisfactorily, there is a one-time $99 fee for the backup client license which performs this task. There are NO installation fees for the software and NO other licensing fees.

Backup Hardware
We utilize special 24-Drive RAID arrays broken into multiple sets of RAID 10 and RAID 5. We also have a SAN, a NAS, and additional storage devices. Our backup servers have a minimum connection speed of 1 Gbps (Gigabit per second) up to 10 Gbps. The servers hard drive speed for file I/O is over 500MB per second for both read and write operations, usually even during load situations. During a no-load situation, our servers can read and write at well over 700 MB/ per second, ensuring we can restore sites quickly. Most sites can be restored in a matter of a few minutes.

Site Restore Fees
Depending on the reason we are restoring your site, there may be a $25 restore fee in shared hosting. For a HyperV instance or a Dedicated server, the fee is billed as a remote hands fee for a full server restoration. Since HyperV has snapshot images, this usually only takes us 15 minutes ($20 Remote Hands Fee), but in some more complicated situations could take additional time.
